Which Gabby’s Dollhouse Character Are You?

Learn More About Gabby’s Dollhouse

Gabby’s Dollhouse is an interactive series that blends live-action and animation, and it has become one of Netflix’s best-loved preschool shows since debuting in January 2021. Developed by Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey, both veterans of Blue’s Clues, the show follows a girl named Gabby who wears a magical cat-ear headband that lets her shrink down and step into a magical dollhouse.

Inside, Gabby meets the Gabby Cats, a group of cheerful, brightly colored cat friends who each have a special talent. Cakey Cat runs the kitchen with sprinkles and sweetness, Carlita zips around as a car-cat, DJ Catnip spins records, MerCat brings sparkle from the mermaid-inspired room, and Pandy Paws, Gabby’s plush panda, is her huggable best friend. Each room in the dollhouse unlocks a new theme and a new problem to solve.

Part of its charm is the interactive format. Gabby speaks directly to the viewer, invites them to help, and pauses for answers, an approach that helps young viewers feel involved. The series has grown enormously, now running 14 seasons and about 90 episodes, with Laila Lockhart Kraner starring as Gabby.

The franchise has also expanded beyond the screen. LEGO sets launched in 2023, and a feature film arrived in September 2025. The show has remained popular in Netflix’s top charts, driven by kids who love rewatching their favorite episodes.

For parents, it is a surprisingly gentle show, with themes of kindness, creativity, and teamwork woven through nearly every story. For kids, the cat characters are colorful and distinct enough that most have a clear favorite. That makes it perfect for a character quiz, whether you are taking it for fun or helping a little one pick their favorite.
