Meet the Family Behind Margo's Got Money Troubles

Margo's Got Money Troubles follows Margo Millet, played by Elle Fanning, a college student who gets pregnant, drops out, and turns to OnlyFans to keep herself and her baby afloat. It sounds like a setup for a cautionary tale, but the Apple TV series, based on Rufi Thorpe's novel, is more interested in Margo's resourcefulness than her mistakes, following her as she stumbles into an entire underground economy she never expected to understand this well.

The family at the center of it all is what makes the show sing. Michelle Pfeiffer plays Shyanne, Margo's mother, a former Hooters waitress who has survived plenty and shows her love the only way she knows how, loudly and imperfectly. Nick Offerman plays Jinx, Margo's estranged father, a former professional wrestler and recovering addict whose big, performative energy hides someone still trying to make things right with his daughter. Watching Jinx and Shyanne circle back into Margo's life at the worst possible moment gives the show its emotional center.

Beyond the family, Margo's new OnlyFans world introduces its own cast of characters, including Rose and KC, two established creators who show Margo the ropes of a business that turns out to require a lot more strategy than she expected.
