Chief of War tells the story of the bloody unification of the Hawaiian islands in the late eighteenth century, an era of shifting alliances, brutal warfare between rival chiefdoms, and the eventual rise of a single ruler over what had long been fiercely independent territories. Jason Momoa both stars in and co-created the series, playing Ka'iana, a warrior chief whose loyalties shift across multiple factions as the islands hurtle toward unification under Kamehameha.
