Which Classroom of the Elite Character Are You?

Learn More About Classroom of the Elite

Classroom of the Elite (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e) is built around a deceptively simple idea: a prestigious Tokyo high school that claims to value merit above all else. Students are ranked into classes A through D, handed a monthly allowance of points, and told that everything, including their futures, can be earned or lost through performance.

The story follows Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, a quiet and modest boy who is bad at making friends and prefers to keep his distance. He lands in Class D, the school dumping ground, alongside Suzune Horikita and Kikyō Kushida. What nobody realizes is that Ayanokōji has exceptional intelligence and physical ability, which he does everything to conceal.

That hidden talent is what powers the series. Each arc turns the school into a chessboard: special exams, group tests and island survival games where social manipulation matters as much as grades. Characters win by reading people, not just answering questions.

The supporting cast is a big part of the appeal. Horikita starts out cold and determined, then slowly learns to rely on others. Kushida is the cheerful, beloved classmate with layers. Arisu Sakayanagi, from Class A, is a refined genius who treats rivalry like a sport. Kakeru Ryūen leads Class C with raw intimidation.

Because every major character has a distinct approach to power, the series makes a perfect personality quiz. Are you the silent strategist, the determined climber, the charming social player, the elegant mastermind or the fearless boss?

The series arrives on Hulu on October 27, 2026, which is a good reason to find out where you would land on the class ladder.
