Eternity, from A24 and director David Freyne, imagines the afterlife as a bureaucratic waystation where every soul gets exactly one week to choose who they'll spend forever with. For Joan (Elizabeth Olsen), that means choosing between Larry (Miles Teller), her husband of decades, and Luke (Callum Turner), the young soldier she loved and lost before that marriage ever began.

The film mixes genuine romantic stakes with a lighter, almost bureaucratic comedy about the mechanics of the afterlife itself, aided by supporting turns from John Early and Da'Vine Joy Randolph.

Eternity premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before its theatrical release and has since become one of the most-watched romance films on streaming.
