Elle is Prime Video's prequel series to Legally Blonde, following a teenage Elle Woods (Lexi Minetree) through her formative high school years in 1990s Seattle, six years before the events of the original film. Created by Laura Kittrell and produced by Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine, the series leans heavily on nostalgia for the beloved 2001 movie.

June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott play Elle's parents Eva and Wyatt, whose culture-shock adjustment to Seattle after a scandal in Los Angeles provides much of the show's comic relief and unexpected emotional depth.

Despite a lukewarm critical reception for leaning too heavily on references to the original film, Elle became an instant Top 10 hit on Prime Video across dozens of countries, and a second season is already in production.
