Blue Box follows Taiki Inomata, a boy's badminton player at sports powerhouse Eimei High, who has long admired basketball star Chinatsu Kano from afar. When Chinatsu unexpectedly ends up living under Taiki's roof, the two grow closer while both pursue their respective sports ambitions, all while Hina Chono, Taiki's close friend and track star, quietly grapples with her own feelings for him.

Based on Kouji Miura's Weekly Shonen Jump manga, Blue Box won Best Romance Anime at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, praised for its restrained, emotionally honest take on a genre that often leans on melodrama. The anime is known for its watercolor-toned visuals and its refusal to villainize any point of its central love triangle.

Season 2 premieres in Japan on October 4, with a global Netflix release following the same month, continuing Taiki, Chinatsu, and Hina's stories as their athletic and romantic journeys collide once again.
