Which ACOTAR Court Do You Actually Belong In?

Sarah J. Maas fans have waited five years since A Court of Silver Flames closed out book five, and the wait is finally ending fast. On the March 4, 2026 episode of Call Her Daddy, Maas confirmed ACOTAR 6 will release October 27, 2026, with ACOTAR 7 following just two and a half months later on January 12, 2027 — an almost unheard-of turnaround for an author who typically takes years between installments.

Maas has described the two books as one massive, continuous story rather than a traditional trilogy structure, writing book six as “Part 1” with book seven covering “Parts 2 and 3,” and has even hinted at a possible “Part 4” down the line. Neither book has a title, cover, or blurb yet, which hasn't stopped Goodreads readers from naming the still-unnamed sixth book one of the most anticipated romantasy releases of the year. Chronicle Books is even releasing a wave of official ACOTAR merchandise, including a Velaris puzzle and a Seven Courts of the Faerie Realm puzzle, timed to ship alongside the new books this October.

Maas also addressed the long-rumored ACOTAR television series, which was dropped by Hulu in 2025. She confirmed she's regained the adaptation rights and wants full creative control before moving forward: “I don't ever want to hear like, oh, we need to change this to appeal to XYZ's demographic,” she said. “That's not how you make art.”
