Sugar follows Colin Farrell as John Sugar, a meticulously dressed private investigator hired to find Olivia Siegel, the missing granddaughter of legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. What starts as a straightforward missing-persons case unravels into something much stranger, pulling Sugar into the secrets of one of Hollywood's most powerful families and revealing that Sugar himself isn't entirely who he first appears to be either.

Kirby Howell-Baptiste plays Ruby, one of the few people Sugar actually trusts, while Amy Ryan's Melanie Matthews and James Cromwell's Jonathan Siegel anchor the Hollywood dynasty at the center of the mystery. Sydney Chandler plays Olivia Siegel, the missing woman whose disappearance sets the whole story in motion, and Alex Hernandez rounds out the cast as Kenny.

Season 2 sends Sugar into a new case, this time searching for the missing older brother of an up-and-coming local boxer, with the investigation quickly expanding into a wider, more dangerous conspiracy.
