Sixteen years after Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam wrapped up the original trilogy's story, Camp Rock 3 brings the whole gang back together — with a new generation of campers ready to steal the spotlight. The film premiered on Disney Channel on August 13, 2026, before landing on Disney+ the next day, and it's set at least 15 years after the events of the second film, with Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray (real-life brothers Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas) now grown up and fronting Connect 3's long-awaited reunion tour.

The plot kicks off with a problem every touring band dreads: Connect 3 loses their opening act right before a major reunion tour. Their solution is to go back to where it all started — Camp Rock — to find the next big thing. That sets up a season of competition among a brand-new cast of campers, all vying for the biggest opportunity of their lives, while old friendships and a few old flames get pulled back into the mix.

The new campers are where most of the fresh energy comes from. Sage Scott (Liamani Segura) is bold and determined, always the first to step up, while her easygoing brother Desi (Hudson Stone) balances her out. Fletch Robinson (Malachi Barton) plays the camp's resident bad boy, more interested in doing things his own way than following the rules. Rosie Kleinman (Lumi Pollack) is the group's cello prodigy, quieter and more comfortable with her instrument than the spotlight. Rounding out the cast are Cliff Carmichael (Casey Trotter), a drummer with his own sense of rhythm, Callie Banks (Brooklynn Pitts), the camp's reigning choreography queen, and Madison (Ava Jean), an intimidating, image-obsessed influencer who treats camp like content.

Familiar faces are back too. Demi Lovato returns as Mitchie Torres, and Maria Canals-Barrera reprises her role as Mitchie's mom, Connie. Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas all return as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray respectively, credited not just as cast but as producers on the film alongside Lovato — a sign of how much creative control the original stars had in bringing this sequel to life. New additions to the cast include Milo Manheim as Calvin Rhodes and Sherry Cola as Lark, rounding out the adult side of the story.

Filming took place in Vancouver starting in September 2025, and the cast and crew made the announcement in classic Camp Rock fashion. Fans of the 2008 original were sent into a frenzy months before a single frame had aired, once word got out that the whole band was heading back to camp.

For a franchise that first launched during the height of the Disney Channel Original Movie era, Camp Rock 3 is a genuine passion project as much as a nostalgia play — the returning stars aren't just cameoing, they're steering the story and handing the spotlight to a new generation of campers in the process.
