Learn More About Avatar: Seven Havens
Avatar: Seven Havens is an animated series from Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the original creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, who return as co-creators and executive producers. It streams on Paramount+ and premiered on October 9, 2026, with the first three episodes of Book 1 arriving on day one.
The show is set after The Legend of Korra, in a world that has been badly damaged by a catastrophic event. The Seven Havens are described as the last strongholds of civilization, and the story follows the fight to keep them standing. Early coverage notes that many people blame Korra for the ruin, though the true cause has not been revealed, which gives the series a very different mood from the hopeful start of Aang’s journey.
At the center is Pavi, voiced by Saheli Khan. She is an Earthbender who learns she is the new Avatar after Korra. In this era, though, the title makes her something close to a feared destroyer rather than a protector, and she is hunted by both human and spirit enemies. It is a bold flip on the usual chosen-one setup, and it is a big part of why the first trailer drew so much attention.
Pavi is joined by Nisha, voiced by Aishu Devan, her long-lost twin. The two were separated as children, and together they set out to uncover their origins, learn why they were split up, and find out why the Avatar is despised. Alongside them are Jae, an Airbender voiced by Major Curda who serves as Pavi’s mentor and friend, and the fluffy cat-monkey companions Geet and Ruhi, both voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who also voiced Momo and Appa in The Last Airbender.
The wider voice cast includes Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, and Dianne Doan as Zi. Details on those characters have been kept quiet so far, so this quiz leans on the characters whose roles have been described publicly, plus Karthik, whose billing near the top of the cast list hints at an important part to play.
Book 1 runs for 13 half-hour episodes, released in batches across October 2026: the first three on October 9, followed by further drops on October 16, October 23, and October 30. A second book has been confirmed, with a release date still to come, and the series as a whole is planned as 26 episodes split into two books, the same structure the original Avatar series used.
