Created by and starring Bill Hader, the HBO dark comedy ran for four seasons and became known for blending pitch black violence with genuinely tender character work.

Alongside Hader, the show built one of the best comedy casts in recent memory, including Sarah Goldberg as Sally, Anthony Carrigan as the endlessly quotable NoHo Hank, Henry Winkler as acting coach Gene Cousineau, and Stephen Root as Barry's manipulative handler Fuches. The series swept award season and is remembered as one of the sharpest tonal balancing acts on television.
